"To Another Day"
The World has told me
It's mysteries enfold me
I can't be untrue to another day.
Wise Men hound me.
And Dead men's words surround me,
So do they live on in some certain way?
The message will unfold as we find worlds fortold
In line and verse of once great men.
And as their words ring clear through the well of years,
To quicken your heart and light your mind,
Seek and you will find.
Beneath the clamour
Wrought by the War Smith's hammer
Ring the words of truth
Don't let them slip away.
The Newsmen scold me
The Politicians sold me
But nothing they can do
Can take the Truth away.
I know that what you're worth
and your place on this Earth
Is held within your own thick skin
If what you think you see
And what you think of me
Depends on you, and not what's true
I guess the jokes on you.
A holy man once told me
The sunlight had followed me
Till I drew the shade and
Let it slip away.
