First Scholarship Awarded to Tom Zega
BY DARREL DODD
At our annual Family Day it was our pleasure to meet the recipient of our first Scholarship award, Tom Zega. Tom is a student at A.S.U. and has excellent grades and did very well on
his Ph. D. oral exam. Tom is working on some very interesting applications to mineralogy of carbonaceous chondrites. Tom has maintained a grade point average of 4.0 in some challenging courses in geology, physics and chemistry.
This first Scholarship was made possible by generous donations from Bob Jones and Les Presmyk. We all hope this can become an annual event of the Foundation with funding through the Foundation.
