I just want to say thank you to all of you. You all have said that I have done a lot of good work in a short time period and because of that, you decided to present me with this year's award. This was only possible because of all of you helping me along the way in one way or another. It started with Lavone talking me into joining the Foundation, Ray giving me the chance to take over the Collection Committee, Harvey's endless help with everything, Les helping me with a lot of Foundation history, Dana's endless knowledge of mineral localities, Phil's, Genie's, Glenn's, Steve's and Chuck's support, Darrel's checkbook and everyone's helping hands. All of you helped me when I needed it and I can not say enough to thank you for it. The plaque has my name on it but in reality it belongs to all of you. I mean this from the bottom of my heart. I was in such shock that I am not sure that I expressed it properly at the meeting. I started collecting when I was about 11 or 12 years old in New York. At that early age my connection to Arizona began by reading Bob Jones' articles and books, and obtaining some of my very best and favorite specimens that were from Arizona. Arizona has always been more than just home; it is what I am all about. To receive an award in Arthur Flagg's name for my involvement in the Arizona mineral world means more to me than you could imagine. So once again, thank you.
