     In March the Foundation and Museum were host to four visitors from the Yifu Museum of China and the China University of Geosciences.
     The group consisted of Qinwen Zhu, Vice President of the University, Zhao Junming, Dean of the Faculty of Earth Sciences, Su Hong Tao, Chief of Overseas Student Affairs, and Shiqiu Xu, Curator of the Museum. The visit is part of an ongoing program to exchange visits, samples, information, speakers, and perhaps exhibits between us and the Yifu Museum.
     The four spent a week in Arizona and covered a lot of territory.   Sue and Stan Celestian,  Cynthia and I took them to the Petrified Forest, Meteor Crater, Sunset Crater, Grand Canyon, and Oak Creek Canyon. They went home with hundreds of photographs of spectacular geology.

day at our Museum. They made a presentation at the Mineralogical Society of Arizona meeting about their Museum and attended the Minerals of Arizona Symposium. At the symposium they presented the Museum and Foundation with a collection of minerals from China.
     In the future we plan to continue with this partnership. They are interested in publishing some articles about our activities and we will have more about theirs. Next April (2008) I plan to go to China to visit them and if you are interested in a trip at that time send me your name and I will start a list of interested people (raycyn@cox.net).
     Susan Celestian has announced that she will retire as Curator of the Mining and Mineral Museum. Sue has done a tremendous job with the Museum.
