Marc Fleischer reviewed show publicity. He reported that the show is mentioned in the Arizona Tourist News, Phoenix Home and Gardens, while a slide is running at six Harkins movie complexes. He also presented a schedule for Channel 3's live TV broadcast on Saturday morning. Ray thanked Marc for all his efforts in organizing the publicity.

Mike Shannon indicated a survey form has been created to collect information on how visitors learned about the show and that there will be three drawings for prizes. He requested donations for these prizes.

7. Flagg Distinguished Service Award
Genie Howell pointed out that a flyer on the award and nomination forms are available. She asked members to submit forms before the Symposium.

D. Nominating Committee Report and Election of Board Members
Ray mentioned that Cynthia Grant, Genie Howell, and Bill Yedowitz formed on this year's committee. Cynthia presented the recommendations of the Nominating Committee. She indicated current officers and most of the trustees agreed to serve another term. Marc Fleischer and Chuck Kominski were added to the slate of trustee candidates to replace Paul Harter and Donn Cuson.

Ray asked for any additional Board member or Officer nominations, but no other candidates were suggested. Jim McGlasson moved to accept and approve the nominations for Trustees and Officers. Doug Duffy seconded the motion. The motion

passed.

F. New Business
1. Museum Volunteers (welcome to the 100 hour volunteers)
Ray recognized 25 people who volunteered over 100 hours last year at the Museum. These volunteers receive free memberships to the Foundation. Shirley Coté pointed out that the total volunteer hours in 2006 was 8966.

2. Other New Business
Ray summarized the purchase of the Roland Fogg collection. This collection contained over 4000 micromount specimens which has been donated to the Museum. A number of other minerals, lapidary materials and a microscope was also included, and these items will be sold at either the Flagg Show or the Symposium.

Changming Hu announced that four people from China will be visiting Arizona around 2/7-2/20 and will include a university vice president and some museum curators. He also mentioned that another trip to China is being organized. He briefly described the itinerary and indicated two possible times around April/May or September/October.

With no further business to discuss, Jim moved to adjourn the meeting. Chuck Kominski second the motion. The motion passed.
