Other Show-Related Activities Lavone Archer asked about having a questionnaire/prize drawing during the show. There was some discussion on what to include in the survey and possible prizes. Mike Shannon volunteered to help organize the questionnaire/drawing. Phil pointed out the need to rent a trailer or van to haul display cases and minerals after the show. Darrel mentioned that he has a trailer. Phil will look into trailer options. He also mentioned that an additional tent and four tables will be set up for mineral exhibits. Harvey presented an idea for a Flagg Show souvenir hand lens. He found a mail order source for inexpensive 10x hand lenses and designed some vinyl stickers with the Foundation logo and a copper specimen from the show poster. A prototype was passed around for members to peruse. He proposed selling a kit for $2 that includes the hand lens, a micromount specimen, and user notes. Shirley Coté mentioned a free event promotion that is being provided by a New Jersey weather channel. 4. Symposium (March 10, 2007) Ray pointed out that next year's Symposium will be held at an earlier date to avoid conflicts with shows or Easter/Spring break.
Old Business
1. Any old business Bill brought up a concern about the framed Tucson Show posters stored in the trailer. Ray indicated that he would contact Paul Harter about moving the posters.
New Business
1. Nominating Committee Ray asked for volunteers for a nominating committee for Foundation officers and trustees. Cynthia Grant, Genie Howell, and Bill Yedowitz indicated that they would be interested in serving on this committee. Ray urged members to send suggestions/ideas to the committee.

2. Purchase Micromount Collection Ray described a micromount collection in Sun City that is for sale. The collection includes about 5000 micromounts, some cabinet-size specimens, lapidary equipment, and egg cartons of unmounted micro material. He proposed purchasing the collection and donating the micromounts to the Museum. There was some discussion on how the Museum can use the collection as reference materials and on the salability of the other items. Phil moved to the buy the collection and donate the micromount specimens to the Museum. Genie seconded the motion. The motion passed. 3. Other New Business Shirley announced that a bead stringing party is scheduled 9am-12pm Saturday 11/18 at the Museum. She invited members to come and help assemble jewelry pieces for the gift shop. Lavone brought up a concern about the per table dealer fee at Family Day. There was some discussion on the limited mezzanine space, a fee per table vs. limiting the number of tables per dealer, and overall fairness.
