Members should e-mail high quality images (300 dpi) to raycyn@cox.net. He encouraged members take and distribute flyers. Harvey presented a preliminary poster design which features a mine entrance in the shape of Arizona. The design, however, is still missing images of 79 mine minerals.

1. Funds to purchase mineral specimens (See Collection Committee report) 2. Family Day - October 15, 2005 Ray mentioned that the Foundation will provide funds for food for volunteers and asked Shirley about opening early at 9 am for the member-only pre-sale. He also pointed out the need for a work session to sort and price minerals. Phil indicated that he will coordinate with Sue on dealer setup and the pre-sale. 3. Museum Volunteers Ray reminded members to contact Shirley or Sue if they are interested in volunteering. 4. Other new business Paula Liken described the upcoming 2-day workshop on fossil and mineral collection preservation at the Mesa Southwest Museum. The cost is $195/person, while 40 people are needed to hold the workshop. The registration deadline is 8/31. She requested funds to help defray a portion of the workshop costs. There was some discussion on the amount and sponsoring a Museum staff member and Collection Committee member to attend the workshop. Phil moved to make a cash donation for the workshop along with paying registration fees for a Museum staff member and Collection member. Glen seconded the motion. The motion passed. Phil also introduced the motion that the Foundation will pay half of the workshop registration fee for any additional interested Collection Committee members. Steve seconded the motion.
