Board of Governors Tours Museum by Ray Grant Charlie Connel, a member of the "Monday Crew" and the person with the most volunteer hours for 2003, took the Board of Governors of the Department of Mines and Mineral Resources on a tour of the Museum before their last quarterly meeting. He presented the Board with future plans for the Museum and some of the projects of the new FAMMM organization. On the second floor, the House of Minerals, showing the various uses of minerals in a home, needs about $80,000 for a computer and software to make the exhibit interactive for visitors. Exhibits in the antique flat cases in the main hall are hard for many students to view. They would be replaced with about 30 new vertical cases at a cost of about $5,000 per case.
