The Arizona Mineral and Mining Museum Foundation was formed to support the Arizona Mining and Mineral Museum.

have kept it separate as the trailer was emptied, hoping to find a place where it would be valued. The Trustees voted to donate this collection to

The Jurupa Mountains Cultural Center,

Riverside, CA 92509,

They are located about 30 miles from Crestmore and have a many interesting mineral displays and a special Crestmore exhibit. Here is part of their letter of appreciation:

On behalf of the Board of Directors thank you very much for the donation of Crestmore Minerals to the Jurupa Mountain Cultural Center. We also appreciate your hand delivering them personally to the Center. They will be put to good use here at the Center.  Dr. Jack Nieburger, our Crestmore Curator, will catalog the specimens for museum use. Once again, thank you very much for your generosity and support.

Finally, we are planning to have a few new field trips this year, we will have our sales for members, and will continue our normal activities such as the Flagg Show and Arizona Minerals Symposium. If you are not a member (we send this newsletter to several hundred people, many whom are not members), think about joining.

Our next activity will be the trustees meeting on Thursday, September 19 at 7:00 PM at the Museum. Remember, all members are welcome, and the meetings are a good place to find out about the Foundation's activities and projects.

They are working on the collection database, determining which specimens should be on exhibit and which can be traded, and improving the exhibits. If you are interested in working with some really good specimens, you should think about joining the Collection Committee.
