dition, Joe's copper collection will be donated to the Foundation at a future date.
Grey Horse Vanadinite - part of a collection acquired by Wayne Thompson and was viewed by a number of Board members during the Tucson Show. The specimen was found in Arizona in the early 70's but ended up in Idaho for the past 25 years.
Les pointed out that the first two purchases address recent changes in IRS regulations that require a two year holding period for donated items. So, over next two years, the Foundation will need to rely more on purchased minerals for its mineral sales. He stated that the Vanadinite is a unique, outstanding specimen which needs to stay in Arizona.
Darrel moved to purchase the Grey Horse Vanadinite and Ray seconded the motion. The motion passed.
A motion to purchase Mason's Collection was made by Darrel and seconded by John. The motion passed.
Ray moved to approve the purchase of Joe McIntosh's Collection and Doug seconded the motion. The motion passed.
