AMMMF Year 2009 Mineral Ball
Malachite/Azurite Ball - 344 KB

While New York's Times Square ushers in the New Year with its fancy Waterford Crystal Ball, we rockhounds have our own special way of commemorating this event - a spinning ball of Malachite and Azurite! Happy New Year Foundationers and rockhounds everywhere!

This blueberry azurite nodule is named 'Le Monde' and is provided courtesy of Ray Grant who acquired it from Jimmy Vacek of 49er Minerals.
Locality: Blue Ball mine, Gila County, Arizona.
